A.D. AND OTHERS v. GEORGIA (JUDGEMENT)
On December 1, 2022, the European Court of Human Rights found a violation of Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (the right to protection of private and family life) in the case of three transgender men. The applicants appealed to the European Court because they were unable to obtain legal recognition of their gender in Georgia and to change the gender entry in their identity documents in accordance with their gender identity.
